Since 2013, more than 800 of my builds have found their spot on hundreds of pedal boards around the world!
As a licensed aircraft mechanic turned pedal builder I was inspired by combining 2 interests; electronics and music. My first bass preamp was built around 1997 with a doorbell power supply from Radio Shack using a soldering iron older than I was. Buzzed like mad but I was hooked!
Sometime in the early 2000's, I attended an auction with my buddy Mike and won a box of about 20 broken pedals for a grand total of 20$. I ended up fixing and selling every one of them including an original EHX Memory Man Deluxe to a guy over in PEI.
From there, I had tried a Boss BD-2 modded by the legend pedal builder Robert Keeley but couldn't afford keeping a pedal worth that much at the time. I found a similar mod online for the popular DS-1 Distortion and gathered the parts for the project. Around that time, I noted some of the weaknesses in the popular stompbox designs like cheap switches, plastic pots, light ribbon cables, unsecured input jacks and pcb mounted DC jacks. All clear violations of airworthiness.
Around 2016 I was promoted at my 'day job' and decided that the increasing demand for my builds was more than I could manage with my responsibilities at home and work. We announced around that time we would wrap up all orders and shut down operations December 31st, 2016.
After a number of unique requests and bathed with encouragement from previous customers and friends, in March of 2019 we decided we would reopen and give it a go again, bit smarter this time.
Over the past year (now fall of 2020), we've completed our 100th build since reopening & added a number of new designs including 2 that Brielle now builds 80% herself. The mini-boxed 30dB 'BL booster' featured on PJ & the Beard and her Silicon based BuzzFace.
Early in 2020, while the world encountered the pandemic, we learned how to design and have our own custom PCB's manufactured. By the end of August, we have completed our very first 20 watt tube rectified amplifier.
Our 1st 2 surface mount Honker and Stinger designs are now available which allows us to offer some of our designs at even more affordable rates.

My primary goal is to build something that will NEVER fail. With so many pedal designs and companies to choose from, I want to stand out for using the best quality parts I can find and assemble them in way that would be considered 'airworthy' for use in the aerospace industry.

You will be satisfied with the value you get from TL Pedals Canada EVERY TIME and if u ever have a problem, I will treat u right.

Thanks for your interest in my work! We sincerely appreciate every customer and every purchase.
