Wow, I'm all done testing the prototype BMP 73 Violet Ram's Head with mid scoop control... very happy with it!
Only changed 2 values from my original design, one to make the volume control more usable and smooth. The second change makes this thing different than just about EVERY other Muff out there. Not only does the mid control knob scoop the mids frequency (max cut) at 1000hz down to -22.5 dB, with the changes I made, it will flatten the mid and even more still, boost 450hz (max boost) +1 dB.
I realize, if you even understand what I'm talking about, +1 dB isn't much but it give a very dynamic mid control not seen in many (if any) other BMP based designs. Much better than the tone-bypass seen in some newer models!
I'll post a demo soon but in the mean time, check out my old 4 knob Ram's Head... this is even more dynamic!
